Edmonton is planning to develop more and more housing in the core of the city to prevent urban sprawl, build new affordable housing and make the city more climate resilient. 

The trick is how do you do that and is Edmonton ready for new kinds of multifamily homes? What if they supported a higher quality of life, were more affordable and supported all sizes of families?
To explore new ideas in affordable, multifamily Edmonton City Councillor Michael Janz invited Seattle Architect Michael Eliason to come to Edmonton to talk about “Point Access Blocks,” and building more sustainable homes and neighbourhoods.
