When Ron Kube discovered he was using almost twice as much electricity as the average home he started investigating his home. His first stop was a light fixture in the dining room that had 800 watts of light bulbs in it. He replaced the bulbs with LEDs and presto, he reduced electricity use in the fixture by 75 per cent.
